About Me
I am Chris Gray, a passionate and hard working programmer.

I've always had a passion for video games, and I've been surrounded by them my whole life. I still get as much enjoyment from playing modern video games today such as Rocket League or Heroes of the Storm as I did taking turns on the SNES with my brother as a child. Ultimately, video games are my favourite hobby and a huge part of my life.

I reached a point in sixth form where I realised I would have to decide what it is i wanted to do with my life after school. It was suggested to me that I combine my favourite subject (Computing) with my favourite hobby (gaming) and look at becoming a video games programmer. I've never looked back.
After sixth form, I went to the University of Northampton and studied Computer Games Development. There, I learned how to design and program games either as part of a larger group of programmers and artists, or as an individual. I feel that the group projects I did at university were particularly useful, as the opportunity to learn what it is like to work with others as part of a team while creating a game was invaluable experience. I also undertook modules that taught me about other areas of programming, such as graphics, networking and web development, and these helped me to become the well rounded and adaptable programmer that I am today.

At the end of my degree I graduated with a First-Class (with Honours) degree.

Since my graduation, I have continued programming and solving problems. The majority of my focus has gone into completing two online courses (one UE4 and one Unity based) which I am still undertaking to this day. Through these courses I am continuing to create cool and interesting games whilst expanding on my knowledge of the C++ and C# programming languages.
Outside of programming and video games, I like to keep fit and healthy by running regularly. I also enjoy skiing when I get the opportunity, and otherwise like to spend time with my friends doing fun activities such as escape rooms, airsoft or just going to the cinema to see a film.
